I created Rivolta Femminile with the intent to embody the true form of a woman in all of their aspects during the renaissance period, the name itself translates to Female Revolt in Italian which is what I am portraying throughout this collection. You can see the soft and kind female being embodied in the white and black gowns with the design and styling choices, as well as the strength and power throughout the silver gowns while still keeping feminine silhouettes, this project was also created with sustainability in mind, the two silver pieces are created solely from soda cans, I deconstructed the cans and attached them to each other using wire. I felt that using these strong heavy looking metals to represent the renaissance period would resinate with the viewer, my intent was to resemble mens armor almost in a mocking way that the dresses, tops, and skirts were created in such feminine silhouettes
